Herbert Art Gallery and Museum

During my visit to Herbert Art Gallery I took a picture of this piece of work because not only do I love the amount of detail but there is also lots of layer and good texture like all my artists use in their work as well as the oil paint used on canvas like my artist Scott Naismith.

Also I photographed this piece which is very different to anything I have done or am currently studying but I loved the idea of a sculpture and thought this one was so simple yet the arm movement is so expressive and strong implying that it has a very specific meaning.

This next one is one of my favourites in terms of colour and expressive marks. Also it's a really contemporary piece as it was only produced in 2013.

Two other pieces I liked, both sculptures just caught my eye because of how different, meaningful and intricate they were.
